Color and pattern male

Head: orange-red.

Neck: hackle from top to bottom changing from orange to orange-yellow; each feather with a black shaft-stripe, runs parallel to the outline, ends in a point near the tip, no high demands on the sharpness and the intensity; front of the neck black.

Back, shoulders and wing-arch: carmine-red.

Saddle-hackle: orange to light-orange; each feather with a more or less distinct black shaft-stripe, absence is not considered a fault; a slightly deeper tint than in the neck-hackle is permitted, equality is desired. 

Tail: steering-feathers black; sickles and coverts green-glossy black.

Wings: bow black, wing-bar green-glossy black.

Primary-flights: black with a narrow brown edge along the outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane black, outer-vane brown, forming a brown wing-triangle when the wing is closed.

Breast: green-glossy black.

Belly, thighs and rear-part: black.

Down: greyish.

Serious faults

White in tail and wing-flights. Much brown in the breast, thighs and belly. Straw-yellow in the lower part of the hackle.

Faults

Minor deviations in color and pattern. Incomplete colored wing-triangle.

Color and pattern female

Head: golden-yellow.

Neck: hackle golden-yellow, each feather with a black shaft-stripe, runs parallel to the outline, ends in a point near the tip, no high demands on the sharpness and the intensity; front of the neck similar to the breast.

Back, shoulders, bow, wing-coverts and saddle: each feather golden gray-brown with fine evenly distributed black peppering, as few  light-colored veins as possible; slightly light lacing permitted but not desired.

Primary-flights: golden brown with a narrow gray-brown outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: outer-vane similar to the back; inner-vane greyish-white.

Tail: black steering-feathers except for the upper ones, which like the coverts are golden-brown with fine dark-grey peppering.

Breast: salmon reddish-brown transitioning to ash-brown at the thighs, veins salmon. 

Belly, thighs and rear-part: ash-brown.

Down: greyish.

Serious faults

Too red o rusty on shoulders. Too pale breast color. Absence of the shaft-stripe. Light veins. Excessive coarse or clumped peppering.

Faults

Minor deviations in color and pattern. Slightly clumped peppering and/or light veins on the breast.
