Color and pattern male

Head: orange-red.

Neck: hackle from top to bottom changing from orange to orange-yellow; each feather with a black shaft-stripe, runs parallel to the outline, ends in a point near the tip, no high demands on the sharpness and the intensity; front of the neck black.

Back, shoulders and wing-bows: carmine-red.

Saddle-hackle: orange to light-orange; each feather with a more or less distinct black shaft-stripe, absence is not considered a fault; a slightly deeper tint than in the neck-hackle is allowed, equality is desired. 

Tail: main-feathers black; sickles and coverts glossy green-black.

Wings: front black, wing-bar glossy green-black.

Primary-flights: black with a narrow brown edge along the outer-web.

Secondary-flights: inner-web black, outer-web brown, forming a brown wing-triangle when the wing is closed.

Breast: glossy green-black.

Belly, thighs and fluff: black.

Down: greyish.

Serious faults

White in tail and wing-flights. Much brown in the breast, thighs and belly. Straw-yellow in the lower part of the hackle.

Minor deviations in color and pattern. Incomplete colored wing-bay.

Color and pattern female

Head: golden-yellow.

Neck: hackle golden-yellow, each feather with a black shaft-stripe, runs parallel to the outline, ends in a point near the tip, no high demands on the sharpness and the intensity; front of the neck similar to the breast.

Back, shoulders, wing-coverts and saddle: each feather golden gray-brown with fine evenly distributed black peppering; as few  light-colored veins as possible; slightly light lacing allowed but not desired.

Primary-flights: golden brown with a narrow gray-brown edge along the outer-web.

Secondary-flights: outer-web similar to the back; inner-web blackish-brown.

Tail: black main-feathers except for the upper ones, which like the coverts are golden-brown with fine dark-grey peppering.

Breast: salmon reddish-brown transitioning to ash-brown at the thighs, veins salmon. 

Belly, thighs and fluff: ash-brown.

Down: greyish.

Serious faults

Too red o rusty on shoulders. Too pale breast color. Absence of the shaft-stripes. Light veins. Excessive coarse or clumped peppering.

Faults

Minor deviations in color and pattern. Slightly clumped peppering and/or light veins on the breast.
