Lemon black transverse-pencilled
Color and pattern male
Head: lemon-yellow.
Neck: hackle glossy vibrant lemon-yellow; front of neck to throat similar to the breast.
Back and saddle-hackle: glossy lemon-yellow for the visible part.
Wings: glossy lemon-yellow shoulder and wing-arch; greater-coverts metallic green-glossy black transverse pencilled 3-4 times wider then those of glossy lemon-yellow, forming a wing-bar with two bands when the wing is closed.
Tail: steering-feathers black; sickles green-glossy black with a faint lemon-golden pencilling at the base, gradually diminishing towards the tip.
Primary- and secondary- flights: strong transverse black pencilled on lemon-yellow, which become narrower towards the feather-tips.
Breast, belly and thighs: feathers metallic green-glossy black transverse pencilled on lemon-yellow, the black pencilling becomes noticeably wider towards the bottom and rear, tip of the feathers as dark as possible.
Rear-part: transverse pencilled.
Down: light blue gray.
Serious faults
Extensive pencilling in the hackles. Shoulder and wing-arch not sufficiently vibrant lemon yellow. Weak transverse pencilling throughout the plumage. Transverse pencilling on the upper breast to throat not rising high enough. Weak pencilling in the wing-flights. Complete insufficient sheen in the black pencilling and sickles. Too light a shade in the neck- and saddle-hackle. Horseshoe pattern. Coloration that is much too light, much too dark, or complete uneven. White in tail or wing-flights.

Serious faults occur to a lesser degree.
