Color and pattern male

Head: golden-bay.

Neck: hackle glossy vibrant golden-brown; front of the neck similar to the breast.

Back, shoulders, wing-coverts and saddle-hackle: warm golden-bay, each feather with glossy green-black straight tranverse pencilling, slightly wider than as those of golden-bay.

Wing-flights: warm golden-bay with glossy green-black straight tranverse pencilling, slightly wider than as those of golden-brown.

Tail: main-feathers, sickles and coverts warm golden-bay, each feather withglossy green-black straight tranverse pencilling, slightly wider than as those of golden-bay.

Breast: warm golden-bay, each feather with glossy green-black straight tranverse pencilling, approximately as wide as those of golden-bay.

Flanks, thighs, belly and fluff: warm golden-bay with black transverse pencilling or peppering.

Down: blue-grey.

Serious faults

Significant uneven golden-bay. Too light ground-color. Too dark in shoulders and hackles. Excessive wide or very irregular lacing of sickles or tail-coverts. Absence of sickle lacing.

Faults

Serious faults to a lesser degree. Bronze-sheen in sickles.

Head: warm golden-buff.

Neck: hackle warm golden-buff, some penciling allowed at base of the hackle; front of the neck similar to the breast, but slightly less strongly pencilled .

Back: warm golden-buff, each feather with glossy green-black fine straight tranverse pencilling, slightly wider than those of golden-buff.

Shoulders, wing-coverts and saddle: warm golden-buff, each feather with glossy green-black fine straight tranverse pencilling, approximately as wide as those of golden-buff.

Wing-flights: warm golden-buff, with glossy green-black straight tranverse pencilling, slightly wider than as those of golden-buff.

Tail: main-feathers and coverts warm golden-buff, each feather with glossy green-black straight tranverse pencilling, slightly wider than as those of golden-buff.

Breast, flanks and thighs: similar to the shoulders, pencilling on the breast should retain as much as possible towards the top and not fade out too strongly.

Belly and fluff: warm golden-buff with black pencilling or peppering.

Down: blue-grey.

Serious faults

Ground-color uneven, much too light or much too dark. Coarse or very irregular pencilling. Insufficient colour-depth and sharpness of the pencilling. Insufficient pencilling on the breast. Pencilling extending too high into the neck-hackle.
