Color and pattern male

Head: warm golden yellow.

Neck, back, and saddle: deep warm golden yellow, each feather ending in an elongated-shaped white spangle; spangle is proportional in size to the feather; feathers on the front of the neck similar to those on the breast.

Tail: steering- feathers white; sickles and tail-coverts white; smaller tail-coverts warm golden yellow with elongated spangle.

Wings: shoulders deep warm golden yellow, each feather ending in a slightly elongated, sharply pointed white spangle; wing-bar warm golden yellow, each feather ending in a large, almost round, white spangle, forming two distinct bands across the wing.

Primary flights: inner vane warm golden yellow interspersed with white; outer vane warm golden yellow.

Secondary-flights: inner vane white; outer vane warm gold fading into white at the feather tip.

Breast and belly: Warm golden yellow, each feather ending in a large, almost round, white spangle.

Thighs: similar to the belly, but the thigh feathering is predominantly white at the bottom.

Rear-part: white with golden yellow tinge.

Down: white

Neck: hackle warm golden yellow, each feather ending in a long, white spangle; feathers on the front of the neck similar to the breast.

Back: warm golden yellow, each feather ending in a large, almost round, white spangle; spangle is proportional in size to the feather

Tail: steering-feathers white;  tail-coverts warm golden yellow, each feather ending in a large white spangle, which should not be too elongated.

Wings: coverts warm golden yellow, each feather ending in a large, almost circular white spangle, forming two distinct bands across the wing. Primary-flights: inner vane warm golden yellow interspersed with white; outer vane warm golden yellow.

Secondary-flights: inner vane white; outer vane warm golden yellow, fading to white at the tip.

Breast and belly: warm golden yellow, each feather ending in a large, almost circular white spangle; spangle is proportional in size to the feather.

Thighs: similar to the belly, but the thigh feathering at the bottom is predominantly white.

Rear-part: white with golden yellow tinge.

Down: white.

Serious faults in male and female

Too light, too dark or completely uneven ground color. Spangles that are too heavy, too small or horseshoe-shaped. Absence or near absence of the spangles in the neck- and saddle-hackle at the male. Abbsence of distinct bands across the wings at the female.
