Color and pattern male

Head and neck: black with brown mixing; front of the neck similar to the breast.

Back and shoulders: black with golden-yellow mixing; golden-yellow abundantly present on the back.

Saddle-hackle: black with brownish-yellow mixing; clearly marking not desired. 

Tail: black, some white at the base of the main-sickles is permitted.

Primary-flights: black.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane black, outer-vane light-yellow forming a light-yellow wing-triangle when the wing is closed.

Breast: green-glossy black.

Belly, thighs and rear-part: black.

Down: grey.

Serious faults

Absence of brown in head and neck. Absence of marking in the outer-vane of the secondary-flights.

Serious faults occur to a lesser degree. Too much white in the tail.

Color and pattern fmale

Head and neck: black with a cream to light golden-brown blurred feather-edge which does not enclose; front of the neck similar to the breast.

Back, wing-coverts and saddle: cream to light golden-brown with some black mixing.

Tail: steering-feathers black; coverts cream to light golden- brown with black mixing.

Primary-flights: black.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane black, outer-vane cream to light golden-brown with some black mixing.

Breast: cream to light golden-brown, feather-vein is slightly lighter and clearly distinguishable.

Belly, thighs and rear-part: cream to light golden-brown with some dark-gray mixing on the rear-part.

Down: grey.

Serious faults

Clearly shaft-stripe pattern which encloses the feather-edge. Peppering and lacing on back, wing-coverts and saddle. Excessive black mixing in the breast.
