Head: creamy white

Neck- and saddle-hackle: creamy-white to straw-yellow with some black shaft striping in the lower half.

Front of the neck, back, breast, body, belly,thighs and rear-part: deep black.

Back, shoulders and bow: almost silvery-white with some light red tinge.

Tail and sickles: black, upper steering-feathers black, partially edged with white.

Wing-bar: black, forming a greenish or bluish, moderately glossy band.   

Primary-flights: black with a narrow white edge on the outer vane.

Secondary-flights: inner vane black, outer vane white, forming a white wing- triangle when the wing is closed.

Belly and rear-part: black to grayish black.

Down: white to light blue-gray.

Serious faults

Extensive white on the breast, belly, thighs and foot feathers. Little pattern on the wing-flights.

Color and pattern female

Head and neck-hackle: soft salmon-pink, each hackle feather has a broad salmon-pink field, a light flour-colored edge and shaft. Some blue feather tips are present at the bottom of the hackle. The front of the neck is creamy white.

Back, shoulders, and saddle: salmon-colored, each feather has a lighter edge and a shaft.

Tail: coverts similar to  the back; upper steering- feathers salmon-colored on both sides, faintly speckled with gray-black; other tail feathers dull gray-black with a salmon-colored edge.

Wings: coverts similar to the back.

Primary-flights: outer vane soft salmon-colored, inner vane interspersed with gray-black.

Secondary-flights: outer vane soft salmon-colored, inner vane blackish-gray.

Breast and thighs: creamy white.

Belly, body and rear-part: creamy white.

Down: white to light blue-gray.

Serious faults

Uneven salmon color. Rust. Complete absence of lacing and light shafts on the shoulders.
