Neck- and saddle-hackle: creamy yellow, covering the brownish-red hue of the inner portion of the hackles; a rusty-red patch on either side of the neck-hackle.

Back, shoulder and wing-arch: brownish-red with lighter shades of yellowish to cherry-red, copper-colored laced, lighter in older male's.

Wing-bar: black, moderately glossy greenish or bluish.

Primary-flights: black with a narrow white lace on the outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane black, outer-vane white forming a white wing-triangle when the wing is closed

Beard, breast and thighs: black.

Belly, leg- and outer-toe: black to greyish-black.

Down: white to light blue-grey.

Serious faults

Absence of red on the back, shoulder and wing-arch. Extensive white on the beard, breast and thighs.

Small white feather-tips in the beard, breast, and thighs. Other than a white wing-triangle.

Head and neck hackle: deep salmon-red, each feather with a creamy-white shaft and lacing.

Beard: creamy-white

Back, shoulder, wing- coverts and saddle-cushion: uniform salmon-red, each feather with a creamy-white vein and lacing.

Tail: steering-feathers salmon-red, some blue-gray is permitted; coverts similar to the back.

Primary-flights: outer-vane salmon-colored; inner-vane salmon-colored mixed in with grey-black.

Secondary-flights: outer-vane salmon-colored; inner-vane black-grey.

Breast and thighs: creamy-white.

Belly, flanks, rear-part, leg- and outer-toe: slightly lighter than the breast.

Down: white, blue-grey with a white vein under the red feather-parts.

Serious faults

Uneven salmon-color. Rust.

Slightly irregular salmon-color and faded lacing.
