Color and pattern male

Head: buff.

Neck: each hackle-feather with a medium-wide green-glossy black shaft-stripe, surrounded by a narrow buff lace running around the tip; front of the neck buff.

Back and shoulders: buff, below the neck-hackle buff and black.

Saddle-hackle: buff or buff with black shaft-stripes, similar to the neck-hackle, extending from the tip of the feather no more than halfway down.

Tail: steering-feathers black; support-feathers black with buff lacing; sickles and coverts green-glossy black, smaller-coverts with narrow buff lacing.

Wings: bow buff, may be partly black; wing-arch and wing-bar buff.

Primary-flights: black with buff lace on the outside of the outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane black with buff lace that runs around the tip; outer-vane buff so that when the wing is closed it is complete buff.

Breast, flanks, thighs, belly and rear-part: buff.

Down: blue-grey.

Serious faults

Insufficient or broken shaft-stripes in the neck-hackle. Buff in the sickles. Strong presence of black in parts that should be buff. Feather-groups varying in color-depth.

Faults

Serious faults to a lesser degree. Insufficient pattern in tail support-feathers and wing-flights.

Color and pattern female

Head: buff.

Tail: steering-feathers black, except for the top two feathers, which are faintly buff laced; coverts black with narrow buff lace.
