Color and pattern male

Head: warm golden-buff.

Neck: hackle vivid warm golden-buff; front of the neck similar to the breast.

Back, shoulders and saddle-hackle: vivid warm golden-buff.

Tail: main-feathers white; sickles and coverts white with a narrow, sharply defined warm golden-buff lacing.

Wing-bar: bright warm golden-buff; feathers with more or less faint white quills on the inner-web.

Primary-flights: outer-web warm golden-buff with some white markings to the end, inner-web warm golden-buff strongly mixed with white.

Secondary-flights: outer-web warm golden-buff, inner-web warm golden-buff strongly mixed with white.

Breast, flanks, thighs and belly: warm golden-buff, flanks show some white quills.

Fluff: grey with golden-buff tinge.

Down: cream to flour-white.

Serious faults

Very uneven or too light ground-color. Too dark or too light in shoulders, wing-bows and hackles. Many blackish splashes in the white feather parts. Absence, too broad or very irregular lacing of the sickles or tail-coverts.

Faults

Serious faults to a lesser degree. Color of the quills other than white.

Color and pattern female

Head and neck-hackle: warm golden-buff.

Front of the neck and upper-breast: warm golden-buff without white quills.

Back, shoulders and wing-coverts: warm-buff yellow, each feather finely marked with white quills, shaped like grains of wheat, three to five times crosswise on either side of the vein, entirely distinct, touching neither the shaft nor the edge of the feather.

Tail: main-feathers golden-buff with strong white quills, most prominent in the top two.

Primary-flights: outer-web warm golden-buff mixed with some white; inner-web golden-buff strongly mixed with white, fading towards the edge.

Secondary-flights: outer-web golden-buff with coarse white quills; inner-web golden-buff with coarse irregular white quills that turns into more or less longitudinal stripes.

Lower chest, belly and thighs: warm golden-buff with some transverse penciling that become stronger towards the lower back.

Lower breast, flanks, thighs, belly and fluff: warm golden-buff with some white quills that become stronger towards the bottom.

Down: cream to flour white.

Serious faults

Uneven, far too light or far too dark ground-color. Coarse or very irregular quills. Insufficient depth and sharpness of the quills. Quils rising too high on the breast.
