Color and pattern of the male

Head: orange.

Neck: hackle gradually transitioning from orange to orange-yellow from top to bottom; front of the neck bright-blue.

Back, shoulders and wing-bow: red.

Saddle: hackle light orange; a slightly deeper shade than in the neck-hackle is permitted, but uniformity is desired.

Tail: bright-blue.

Wings: front and wing-bar bright-blue.

Primary-flights: bright blue with a narrow brown lace along the outer-web.

Secondary-flights: inner-web bright-blue; outer-web orange-brown, forming a orange-brown wing-bay when the wing is closed.

Breast: bright-blue.

Thighs, belly and fluff: bright-blue.

Down: creamy to light-grey.

Serious faults

Absence of the wing-bay. White in tail and wing-flightss. Very uneven blue. Black splashes and white spots in blue.

Slightly too dark hackles. Slightly uneven blue.

Color and pattern of the female

Head and neck-hackle: light golden-brown, hackle with negligible shaft-stripes.

Back, breast, front of the neck and wings: creamy yellow wheaten.

Tail: upper steering- feathers on both sides deep wheaten, faintly speckled with bright blue; other tail feathers bright blue with a narrow wheaten edge.

Wing-flights: outer-web wheaten, inner-web blue with brownish-bright blue spots.

Thighs, belly and fluff: light creamy yellow-wheaten.

Down: creamy to light grey.

Serious faults

Very uneven upper-color. Very uneven blue. Black splashes and white spots in blue.

Faults

Somewhat uneven or slightly too dark or slightly too light ground-color. Clearl visible neck pattern. Light neck-hackle. Slightly uneven blue.
