Head: buff.

Neck: hackle buff, each-feather with a medium-wide buff shaft-stripe, surrounded by a narrow buff lace running around the tip; front of the neck buff.

Back, shoulders and saddle-hackle: white, below the neck-hackle buff and white.

Tail: main-feathers buff; support-feathers buff with black lacing; sickles and coverts glossy green-black; smaller-coverts with narrow buff lacing.

Wings: front buff, may be partly black; coverts buff.

Primary-flights: black with buff lace on the outside of the outer-web.

Secondary-flights: inner-web black with buff lace running around the tip; outer-web buff, forming a complete buff wing when it is closed.

Breast, flanks, thighs, belly and fluff: buff.

Down: buff, light grey permitted.

Serious faults

Insufficient or broken shaft-stripes in the neck-hackle. Buff in the sickles. Presence of black in areas that should be buff. Shaft-stripes in the saddle-hackle. Feather-groups varying in color-depth.
