Color and pattern male

Head and crest: deep lemon-yellow with small black crescent-spangles at the feather tips.

Beard: dull black interspersed with lemon-yellow.

Hackles, back, shoulders and wing-bows: deep lemon-yellow,  each feather ending in a elongated V-shaped black spangle, proportional in size to the feather.

Tail: lemon-yellow, each feather ending in a black strong crescent-spangle, transitioning into a narrow lacing along the feather; black feathers interspersed with lemon-yellow are permitted.

Wing-bars: deep lemon-yellow, each feather ending in a glossy green-black crescent-spangle, resulting in two distinct green-black bars across the wing.

Wing-flights: lemon-yellow with a black crescent-spangle at the feather-tip; some transition from the crescent to lacing is permitted.

Front of neck, breast and belly: lemon-yellow, each feather ending in a glossy green-black crescent-shaped  spangle.

Flanks and thighs: similar to the breast, but the feathering below is predominant black.

Fluff: almost entirely dark grey with some lemon-yellow tinge.

Down: blue-grey.

Serious faults

Far too light or very irregular ground color. Gold-colored or excessive red feather parts. Spangles that are too weak or too heavy crescent-shaped.  Absence or near absence of spangles on the hackles.

Fluff: dark blue-grey with lemon-colored tinge.

Down: blue-grey.
