Color and pattern male

Neck- and saddle-hackle, upper back, shoulders and wing-bar: warm reddish-yellow with light-grey cuckoo-pattern; a light- grey tint on the back is permitted.

Primary-flights: dark blue-gray, transversely arched interrupted by light blue-grey bands, a brown tinge is permitted.

Secondary-flights: the outer-vane, which forms the wing-triangle, is yellow-brown and greyish-white marked.

Breast and belly: yellow to light-reddish with lighter cuckoo-pattern; a grey tinge is permitted.

Tail: dark blue-grey, transversely arched interrupted by light-grey bands, a brown tinge is permitted.

Down: grey.

Serious faults

Lack of yellow-red in the breast- and body-plumage. Insufficient color and pattern wing-triangle.

Neck-hackle: golden-yellow with a black shaft-stripe interrupted by a faint, light-grey cuckoo-pattern.

Body-plumage: light-red partridge with black peppering and with flock-like cuckoo pattern that may appear as light spangling on the wings; yellowish flitter edge permitted ( feathers with a sharp, evenly widthwise, shiny gold edge).

Breast: salmon-red without pattern.

Down: grey.

Serious faults

Predominant grey color in the body-plumage. Black upper neck-hackle. Other than reddish-yellow breast feathering.
