Transvers penciling on the upper breast and front of the neck is not rising high enough. Weak penciling in the flight feathers. Completely insufficient sheen in the transverse penciling and sickle feathers. Too light a shade in the neck- and saddle-hackle. Horseshoe pattern. Coloration that is much too light, much too dark, or completely uneven. White in the flight feathers or tail.

The above serious faults occur to a lesser extent.
