Color and pattern of the male

Head: orange-red

Neck: hackle gradually transitioning from orange to orange-yellow from top to bottom; each feather with a white shaft-stripe, running parallel to the  the feather-edge; ends in a point near the end.; front of the neck white.

Shoulders and back: carmine-red.

Saddle: hackle feathers orange to light-orange with more or less distinct white shaft-stripes; a slightly deeper shade in the saddle-hackle feathers then in the neck-hackle is permitted, but as much uniformity in the hackles is desirable.

Tail: complete white.

Wings: bow and wing-bar white.

Primary-flights: white with a narrow brown edge along the outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: outer-vane reddish brown and, where visible when the wing is closed, forms a wing-triangle; the inner-vane is white.

Breast, belly, thighs and rear-part: white.

Down: white.

Serious faults

Breast and tail other than white. The colored feather areas complete lacking in depth.

Partial absence of the reddish-brown wing-triangle.

Color and pattern of the female

Head: golden-yellow.

Neck: hackle golden-yellow, each feather with a broad creamy-white shaft-stripe, running parallel to the feather-edge, ends in a point near the tip; front of the neck salmon-brown.

Shoulders: creamy-white; some brown tinge is permitted as long as it does not detract from the overall appearance.

Back and saddle: creamy-white; peppering is not visible in this color variety.

Tail: entirely creamy-white.

Wings: bow, wing-bar, and coverts creamy-white.

Primary- and secondary-flights: creamy-white.

Breast: salmon-reddish brown.

Belly, thighs and rear-part: creamy-white.

Serious faults

Excessive brown tinge on wings and breast. Insufficient color depth.

Faults

Somewhat brownish on the shoulders and slightly too light breast-color.
