Color and pattern male

Head: buff.

Neck: each hackle-feather with a medium-wide bright-blue middle-stripe, surrounded by a narrow buff lace running around the tip; front of the neck buff.

Back, shoulders and wing-bows: buff, below the neck-hackle bright-blue and buff.

Wings: front buff, may be partly bright-blue; wing-bar buff.

Primary-flights: bright-blue with buff lace on the outside of the outer-web.

Secondary-flights: inner-web bright-blue with buff lace running around the tip; outer-web buff, forming a complete buff wing when it is closed.

Saddle-hackle: buff or buff with bright-blue middle-stripes, similar to the neck-hackle, extending from the tip of the feather no more than halfway down.

Tail: main-feathers bright-blue; support-feathers black with buff lacing; sickles and coverts bright-blue, smaller-coverts with narrow buff lacing.

Breast, flanks, thighs, belly and fluff: buff.

Down: light buff or blue-grey, preferably the latter.

Serious faults

Insufficient pattern or middle-stripes break throug in the neck-hackle.. Buff in the sickles. Strong presence of bright-blue in parts that should be buff on the surface such as wing-coverts, sides of the breast and flanks. Feather-groups varying in color-depth.

Faults

Serious faults to a lesser degree. Insufficient pattern in tail support-feathers and wing-flights. Presence of entirely black or partially black feather areas within blue. Blue color that is far too dark or far too light.
