Head and neck-hackle: lemon-yellow.

Shoulders and back: orange-red.

Saddle-hackle: lemon-yellow, a slightly deeper shade in the saddle than in the neck is permitted, but the greatest possible uniformity in color-depth is desirable.

Tail: steering- feathers black; sickles, by-sickles and coverts green-glossy black.

Wings: bow black; wing-bar green-glossy black.

Primary-flights: black with a narrow lemon-yellow edge along the outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane black, outer-vane lemon- yellow, forming a lemon-yellow wing-triangle when the wing is closed.

Breast: glossy green black.

Belly, thighs and rear-part: black.

Down: creamy.

Serious faults

Absence of the wing triangle. White in the sickles, tail and wing-flights.

Faults

Slightly too light or slightly too dark color on the neck- and saddle-hackle. Slightly too light color on the back and shoulders. Incomplete colored wing-triangle.

Color and pattern of the female

Head and neck-hackle: lemon-yellow, hackle with negligible shaft striping.

Breast, back, and wings: light lemon-yellow.

Tail: upper steering-feathers on both sides light-wheaten, faintly speckled with black; other tail-feathers dull black or black with a narrow wheaten edge.

Primary- and secondary- flights: outer-vane light-wheaten, inner-vane wheaten with brownish-black speckles.

Belly, lower thighs and rear-part: light creamy yellow wheaten.

Down: creamy.

Significantly uneven top color.

Faults

Somewhat uneven or slightly too dark or slightly too light ground-color. Clearly visible hackle patttern. Light hackle color.
