Color and pattern male
Head: creamy-white.
Neck: hackle creamy-white; each feather has a bright-blue shaft-stripe, running parallel to the feather edge; the shaft-stripe ends in a point near the tip; shaft bright-blue; front of the neck bright blue.
Shoulders and back: orange
Saddle: hackle creamy-white with more or less distinct shaft-stripes.
Tail: steering-feathers, sickles, by-sickles and tail-coverts bright-blue.
Wings: bow and wing-bar bright-blue.
Primary-flights: bright-blue with a narrow white edge along the outer-vane.
Secondary-flights: outer-vane of the primaries is creamy-white, transitioning to brown towards the tip, so that when the wing is closed, the wing- triangle is almost entirely creamy-white with a visible brown edge on the upper-side; the inner-vane is bright-blue.
Breast: green-shiny bright- blue.
Belly, thighs and rear-part: bright-blue.
Down: greyish.
Serious faults
Yellow tint in neck- and saddle-hackle. Extensive white in the breast, belly and thighs. White in sickles and tail. Strongly deviating or uneven blue.

The above serious faults occur to a lesser extent. Incompletely colored wing-triangle.

Head: creamy-white.
Neck: hackle silvery-white, each feather has a broad bright-blue shaft-stripe, running parallel to the feather edge and ending in a point near the tip; front of the neck salmon-brown.
Shoulders: light-gray with fine, evenly distributed bright-blue peppering, with minimal light-colored veins; a slightly darker, warmer shade is permitted.
Back and saddle: similar to the shoulders.
Tail: steering-feathers bright-blue, with the exception of the upper-feathers, which, like the coverts, are light grey with fine dark-grey speckles.
Wings: bow, wing-bar and coverts similar to the shoulders.
Primary-flights: bright blue-grey with a narrow greyish-white outer-vane.
Secondary-flights: outer-vane, level with the shoulders; inner-vane grayish-white.
Breast: salmon-colored, light reddish-brown; fading into light-gray at the thighs.
Belly, thighs and rear-part: ash- grey.
Down: grayish.
Note
A slightly lighter edging of the back and wing-coverts is permitted but not desirable.
Serious faults
Red or rusty on wings. Brown sheen on back, saddle and wing- coverts. Yellowish tint in the neck-hackle. Strongly deviating or uneven blue.
