Color and pattern male

Head: black.

Neck: hackle shows black with some white. Each feather with broad, black, green-glossy shaft stripe pattern with silver-white heart, formed by a narrow silver-white stripe on either side of the silver-white shaft, the outer edge of the neck feather is silver-white, the end has a blackish lace, which widens downwards to a black feather-end; front of the neck black.

Back: silver-white, each feather with broad, green-glossy black lacing.

Saddle: hackle similar the neck-hackle.

Tail: steering-feathers black; sickles and tail coverts glossy green black; sickles and coverts glossy green black, some lacing is permitted at the base of the sickles, provided it is not visible from outside the cage.

Wings: bow glossy green black; shoulder-coverts similar to the neck-hackle, but more broadly laced black at the edge; wing-bar formed by two rows of strongly glossy green black coverts, lacing in the wing-bar is permitted.

Primary-flights: black, with the exception of a narrow silvery-white lace on the outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane black, outer-vane silvery-white, preferably with a narrow black lace along the outer edge of the feather, forming a reddish-brown wing-triangle with a narrow black lace when the wing is closed.

Breast: glossy green black, some lacing is permitted.

Thighs and body: black with some green sheen.

Down: dark-grey.

Serious faults

Red or deep yellow tint on shoulders, neck- and saddle-hackle or in the wing-flights. White in sickles and tail. Too much white in neck and saddle feathers. Lack of pattern in neck-hackle, saddle-hackle, back and shoulders, both on the front and the back of the feather, the outer lacing of which must be black. Lack of white in the wing-flights. Much white in the breast.

Faults

A little  yellow tint on the shoulders. A little white in the breast, belly and thigh feathers. Much black in the neck- and saddle-hackle. Slightly mold-color in the wing-flights. Little pattern in the neck- and saddle-hackle, back and shoulder feathers. Little white pattern in the wing-flights.

Colour and pattern female

Head: black.

Neck: black hackle with silver-grey shaft, changing to dark silver-grey with a broad shaft stripe towards the body, with the proviso that the outer black lace is so wide that the hackle shows black; some silver grey in the upper part of the neck is permitted; feathers on the front of the neck dark silver grey with a wide green glossy lace and within that a narrower similar lace, parallel to the outer one.

Back, shoulder, saddle, wing-coverts, breast, belly, thigh and body feathers: dark silver grey with green glossy black doublelaced pattern, of which the outer one, which runs along the edge of the feather, is wider than the inner one, which runs parallel to it, the large feathers of the saddle and those of the lower breast also have a green glossy black stripe along the shaft, which is also black in some places.

Tail: black steering- feathers with the exception of the upper feather on both sides, which is irregularly patterned with dark silver-grey; coverts doublelaced and also provided with a green-glossy black stripe along the shaft, the shaft is black in place.

Primary-flights: inner-vane black; outer vane dark silver-grey.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane black, outer-vane dark silver-grey, preferably with a narrow black lace on the outer edge of the feather, but some coarse black lacing within the silver-grey feather field are permitted.

Down colour: greyish

Serious faults

Too rusty or too grey-brown ground colour. Too heavy, irregular, not completely surrounding outer lace. Lack of inner lace. Strong peppering in the ground colour.

Faults

A little yellow tint in wing band and/or wing bow. Ground colour too greyish. The other serious faults occur to a lesser extent.

Note

In over-year-old females, the presence of a complete triple lace is not considered a fault.
