Color and pattern male 

Head: deep-red.

Neck: each hackle-feather with a medium-wide  green-glossy black shaft-stripe, surrounded by a narrow deep-red lace running around the tip; front of the neck deep-red.

Back and shoulders: deep-red, below the neck-hackle deep-red and black.

Saddle-hackle: deep-red.

Tail: steering-feathers black; support-feathers black with deep-red lacing; sickles and coverts green-glossy black, smaller-coverts with narrow deep-red lacing.

Wings: bow deep-red, may be partly black; wing-arch and wing-bar deep-red.

Primary-flights: black with deep-red lace on the outside of the outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane black with a deep-red lace that runs around the tip; outer-vane deep-red so that when the wing is closed it is complete deep-red.

Breast, flanks, thighs, belly and rear-part: deep-red.

Down: red or blue-gray, preferably the latter.

Serious faults

Insufficient or broken shaft-stripes in the neck-hackle. Red in the sickles. Pattern in the saddle-hackle. Strong presence of black in parts that should be deep-red. Feather-groups varying in color-depth.

Faults

Serious faults to a lesser degree. Insufficient pattern in tail support- feathers and wing-flights.

Head: deep-red.
