Neck: hackle silver-white or light straw-yellow, each feather with a glossy green-black middle-stripe, running parallel to the edge, ends in a point near the tip; front of the neck black.
Back, shoulders and wing-bows: light straw-yellow or silver-white interspersed with black or grey.
Saddle-hackle: silver-white or light straw-yellow, each feather with a black middle-stripe.
Tail: main-feathers black; sickles and coverts glossy green-black, some white in the main-sickles is permitted.
Wings: front black; wing-bar glossy green-black.
Primary-flights: black with a narrow white edge on outer-web.
Secondary-flights: inner-web black, outer-web white, forming a white wing-bay when the wing is closed.
Breast:glossy green-black.
Belly, thighs and fluff: black.
Down: greyish.

Rusty brown or red on the shoulders and wing-bows. Extensive white on the breast, thighs and belly. White in the tail main-feathers.

Serious faults occur to a lesser extent. Insufficient sharply defined hackles. Incomplete white wing-bay.

Head: black.
Neck: hackle silver-white or light straw-yellow, each feather with a black or grey middle-stripe; front of the neck similar to the breast.
Back: slightly darker than the wing-coverts, almost black.
Wings: front, shoulders and coverts black, mixed with dark brownish-grey in the center; shafts dull-white or straw-yellow.
Primary-flights: grey-brown.
Secondary-flights: outer-web black, inner-web black mixed with dark-grey.
Tail: main-feathers dark-brown with grey peppering; coverts similar to the back.
Breast: dark salmon, each feather edged with black at the base, edging increases slightly towards the thighs; shafts light-brown.
Thighs: black interspersed with grey; down dull-black with grey.
Lower thighs: dark-grey with brown.
Down: dark-grey.
Serious faults
Too weak striped neck-hackle. Too light breast-color and/or absence of pattern on the breast. Different color of the feather-shafts.
