Color and pattern male

Head: orange.

Neck- and saddle-hackle: orange-gold, each feather with a broad green-glossy, black shaft stripe, running parallel to the feather edge; the shaft stripe ends close to the end of the feather in a point.

Front of the neck: black, each feather provided with a narrow, orange-golden lacing.

Back and shoulders: orange-gold.

Tail and wings: entirely green-glossy black.

Breast: black, each feather with a narrow, orange-golden lacing; the lacing may not extend further down than to the upper part of the thighs.

Belly, thighs and fluff: black.

Down: grey-black.

Color and pattern female

Head: orange.

Neck: hackle orange-gold, each feather with a broad green-glossy black shaft stripe, running parallel to the feather edge and ending in a point close to the end of the feather. 

Front of neck: black, each feather provided with a narrow, orange-gold lacing.

Back, saddle, tail and wings: green-glossy black.

Breast: black, each feather provided with a narrow, orange-gold lacing; the lacing should not extend below the start of the breastbone.

Belly, thighs and fluff: black.

Down: grey-black.

Serious faults in male and female

Straw-yellow color in the colored body feathers. Insufficient shaft stripe pattern in the neck- and saddle-hackleof the male and in the neck-hackle of the female. Completely insufficient or too far downward lacing of the breast feathers.

Faults in male and female

Minor deviations in color and pattern. Little sheen in the black.
