Back: reddish-brown, each feather with a broad bright-blue lacing.

Shoulders and wing-bows: similar to the neck-hackle, bluish lacing is wider and more lacing allowed.

Wings: front blue; wing-bar bright-blue, lacing allowed.

Primary-flights: blue, with a narrow reddish-brown lace on the outer-web.

Secondary-flights: inner-web blue, outer-web reddish-brown preferably with a narrow blue lace, forming a reddish-brown wing-bay with a narrow blue lace when the wing is closed.

Breast: bright-blue, some narrow brown lacing allowed.

Serious Faults

Too much red in the hackles. Absence of pattern in hackles, back, shoulders and wing-bows, both on the front and back of the feather, the outer lacing of which must be blue. Shaft-color too light. Absence of brown in wing-flights. White in wing-flights and tail. Blue color much too dark or much too light. Many black color-splashes or too light spots in blue. Rust stains in blue.

Faults

Some brown on breast, flanks, thighs and belly. Too much blue in hackles.  Too little pattern in hackles, back, shoulders and wing-coverts. Slightly too light shaft-color. Slightly grey in the wing-flights.

Color and pattern female

Head: bright-blue.

Neck: each hackle-feather with bright-blue lacing, wide enough to make the hackle bright-blue and a dark golden-brown center with a wide middle-stripe, some brown in the upper part of the hackle allowed, brown shaft;  front of the neck similar to the breast.

Back, shoulders, wing-coverts, saddle, breast, flanks, thighs and belly: each feather dark-golden-brown sharpley bright-blue double-laced, parallel to each other and the outline, the outer-lace is broader then the inner-lace; the larger feathers of the saddle and the lower breast also have a blue stripe along the shaft, which is blue at that location.

Primary-flights: inner-web blue, outer-web dark golden-brown.

Secondary-flights:  inner-web blue, outer-web dark golden-brown preferably with a narrow blue lace, some coarse blue marking in the dark golden-brown allowed.

Tail: main-feathers blue except for the upper ones on both sides, which are irregularly dark golden-brown patterned; coverts similar to the back with a blue stripe along the shaft, which is blue at that location.

Fluff: dark golden-brown

Down: dark-grey

Note

An even dark golden-brown ground-color is highly valued. The presence of a complete multiple lace is not considered a fault in older females.

Serious faults

Too heavy, irregular or incomplete outer-lacing. Absence of inner-lace. Dark reddish-brown or hard rusty-red. Too much brown in the neck-hackle. Strong peppering in dark golden-brown.  Blue color much too dark or much too light. Many black color-splashes or too light spots in blue. Rust stains in blue. Too light shaft-color.

Faults

Serious faults to a lesser degree.
