Color and pattern male

Head: orange.

Neck- and saddle- hackle: orange-gold to light orange-gold; each feather with a broad, bright blue shaft-stripe, running parallel to the feather edge, ends in a point near the tip.

Front of the neck: bright-blue, each feather with an orange-gold edge and a blue vein.

Back and shoulders: orange-golden yellow, slightly intermingled with blue-gray, the blue-gray is at the base of the feather and is broadly laced.

Tail and wings: all bright blue.

Breast: bright-blue, each feather with an orange-gold lacing and  the vein is blue; the lacing may not extend further down than to the upper part of the thighs.

Belly, thighs and rear-part: bright-blue.

Down: grayish blue.

Color and pattern female

Head: orange.

Neck-hackle: orange-gold to light orange-gold, each feather with a broad bright blue shaft-stripe, running parallel to the feather edge, ends in a point near the tip.

Front of the neck: bright-blue, each feather with a narrow, orange-gold lacing.

Back, saddle, tail and wings: bright-blue.

Breast: bright blue, each feather with a narrow, orange-gold lacing; the lacing should not extend below the start of the breastbone.

Belly, thighs and rear-part: bright-blue.

Down: grayish-blue.

Serious faults male and female

Straw-yellow color in the colored body feathers. Insufficient shaft-stripes in the male's neck- and saddle-hackle and in the female's neck-hackle. Totally insufficient or too far downward lacing of the breast-feathers.

Faults male and female

Minor deviations in color and pattern. Too pale, too dark or uneven blue. Totally or partially black feathers.
