Plumage: slightly lighter in ground color and slightly brighter in pattern than cuckoo; the upper breast is lighter in shade and less patterned than the breast and belly.
Neck- and saddle-hackle: cuckoo with a silvery white edging.
Back and shoulders: uniform silvery white.
Serious faults
Different colored feathers. Too light ground color. Too wide bands. Yellow tinge in the ornamental feathers. White in the wings and tail. Insufficient shaft stripe pattern in the neck- and saddle-hackle. Cream color in the neck-hackle, on the back, shoulders and/or saddle.
