Head: silvery white.

Neck- and saddle-hackle: silvery white, each feather with a bright blue shaft stripe, running parallel to the feather edge; the shaft stripe ends in a point near the end of the feather; shaft bright blue.

Back and shoulders: silvery white.

Tail, wings, front of neck and breast: completely bright blue.

Belly, thighs, and rear-part: bright blue.

Down: dark gray.
