Color and pattern of the male

Color and pattern male

Head: light orange.

Neck-hackle: gradually transitioning from light orange to straw yellow from top to bottom.

Shoulders and back: orange-red.

Saddle-hackle: light orange; a slightly deeper shade in the saddle-hackle than in the neck-hackle feathers is permitted, but the greatest possible uniformity in color depth in both feather groups is desirable.

Wings: bbw black; wing-bar glossy green black.

Primary-flights: black with a narrow gold-colored edge along the outer vane.

Secondary-flights: inner vane black, outer vane golden yellow, forming a golden yellow wing-triangle when the wing is closed.

Breast: glossy green black.

Belly, thighs and rear-part: black.

Down: greyish cream.

Serious faults

Absence of the wing triangle. White in the sickles, tail, and wing feathers.

Faults

Slightly too light or slightly too dark color on the neck- and saddle-hackle. Slightly too light color on the back and shoulders. Incompletely colored wing triangle.
