Color and pattern male

Head: golden-brown.

Neck: hackle glossy vibrant golden-brown; front of the neck similar to the breast.

Back, shoulders, wing-arch, saddle-hackle and breast: glossy warm golden-brown.

Wing-bar: golden-brown, inner-web faintly transverse pencilled.

Primary-flights: inner-web black, outer-web golden-brown.

Secondary-flights: inner-web golden-brown black transverse pencilled, outer-web golden-brown except the tip where the pencilling continues.

Tail: steering-feathers black; sickles and coverts green-glossy black with a narrow, sharply defined golden-brown lacing.

Breast,flanks, thighs and belly: warm golden-brown, flanks show some black pencilling.

Rear-part: blackish-grey with brown tinge.

Down: blue-grey.

Note

Hen-feathered males correspond entirely in color and pattern females.

Serious faults

Significantly uneven or too light ground-color. Too dark hackles and shoulder. Too broad or very irregular lacing of sickles or tail-coverts. Absence of sickle lacing. Bronze sheen in sickles.

Color and pattern female

Head: warm golden-yellow.

Neck: hackle warm golden-yellow, some penciling allowed at base of the hackle; front of the neck similar to the breast, but slightly less strongly pencilled .

Back: warm golden-yellow, each feather with green-glossy black fine straight tranverse pencilling, slightly wider than those of golden-yellow.

Shoulders, wing-coverts and saddle: warm golden-yellow, each feather with green-glossy black fine straight tranverse pencilling, approximately as wide as those of golden-yellow.

Primary- and secondary-flights: warm golden-yellow, with straight green-glossy black tranverse pencilling, slightly wider than as those of golden-yellow.

Tail: steering-feathers and coverts warm golden-yellow, each feather with green-glossy black fairly finely and straight transverse pencilling, slightly wider than as those of golden-yellow; coverts warm golden-yellow; each feather with green-glossy black fine straight tranverse pencilling, slightly wider than as those of golden-yellow.

Breast, flanks and thighs: similar to the shoulders, pencilling on the breast should retain as much as possible towards the top and not fade out too strongly.

Belly and rear-part: warm golden-yellow with black pencilling or peppering.

Down: blue-grey.

Serious faults

Ground-color uneven, much too light or much too dark. Coarse or very irregular pencilling. Insufficient colour depth and sharpness of the pencilling. Insufficient pencilling on the breast. Pencilling extending too high into the neck-hackle.
