Color and pattern male
Head: lemon-yellow.
Neck: hackle glossy, vibrant lemon-yellow; front of the neck similar to the breast.
Back, shoulders and saddle-hackle: glossy warm lemon-yellow.
Tail: steering-feathers bright greyish-blue; sickles and coverts bright greyish-blue with a narrow, sharply defined lemon-yellow lacing.
Wings: vibrant lemon-yellow; the wing-bar feathers with a more or less bright greyish-blue pencilled inner-vane.
Primary-flights: outer-vane lemon-yellow with some bright greyish-blue pencilling to the end, inner-vane lemon-yellow strongly mixed with bright greyish-blue.
Secondary-flights: outer-vane lemon-yellow, inner-vane lemon-yellow strongly mixed with bright greyish-blue.
Breast, flanks, thighs and belly: lemon-yellow, flanks show some bright greyish-blue pencilling.
Rear-part: bright greyish-blue with brown tinge.
Down: light blue-grey.
Serious faults
Too dark or uneven ground-color. Too light blue in the transverse penciling. Too red on the shoulders. Too broad or very irregular lacing of the sickles or tail-coverts. Missing sickle lacing.

Neck: hackle warm lemon-yellow, some transverse penciling permitted at the very bottom of the hackle; front of the neck similar to the breast, but slightly less strongly penciled.
Breast: warm lemon-yellow, each feather clearly transverse penciled with fine, bright grey-blue stripes, approximately the same width as those of the warm golden ground-color, the penciling should retain the same character as much as possible towards the top and not fade too much.
Wings: coverts and wing-bar vibrant warm lemon- yellow, each feather finely with bright gray-blue transverse penciling, slightly wider than the intervening striping of the ground-color.
Tail: steering-feathers warm lemon-yellow, each feather fairly finely and straight with bright grey-blue transverse penciling, slightly wider than the intervening stripes of the ground-color; coverts warm lemon-yellow, each feather finely bright grey-blue transverse penciling , slightly wider than the intervening stripes of the ground-color.
Primary- and secondary-flights: warm lemon-yellow, finely with bright grey-blue transverse penciling, slightly wider than the intervening striping of the lemon-yellow ground- color.
Back: warm lemon-yellow, each feather finely with bright grey-blue transverse penciling, slightly wider than the intervening striping of the ground-color.
Body and thighs: warm lemon-yellow with bright grey-blue peppering or markings.
Down: light blue-gray.
Serious faults
Too dark or uneven lemon-yellow ground-color. Coarse or very irregular transverse penciling. Insufficient depth and sharpness of the penciling. Too light blue color in the penciling. Insufficient transverse penciling on the breast. Transverse penciling rising too high on the hackle.
