Color and pattern of the male

Head: orange-red.

Neck: hackle goldish, each feather has a narrow mingled bright-blue shaft-stripe, running almost parallel to the feather edge, the shaft-stripe ends near the tip, the upper-part is separated by a golden vein; front of the neck bright-blue.

Back and shoulders: gold-red.

Saddle-hackle: goldish, preferably without shaft-stripe pattern.

Tail: steering-feathers, sickles, by-sickles and coverts bright-blue.

Wings: bow and wing-bar bright-blue.

Primary-flights: bright-blue with a narrow, brown edge to the outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: inner-vane and tip clear blue, outer-vane brown, forming a brown wing-triangle when the wing is closed.

Breast, belly and rear-part: bright-blue for the most part with a narrow light brown lace.

Thighs: preferably bright blue with a gold lace.

Down: gray.

Serious faults

Neck-hackle too red or too yellow. Too dark on wings. Insufficient pattern on the breast and thighs. Mottled breast. White in wing-flights young male. Rusty blue. Too dark or too light in the blue feather areas.

The above serious faults occur to a lesser extent. Incompletely colored wing-triangle.

Color and pattern of the female

Head: orange-reddish brown.

Neck: hackle goldish, each feather has a narrow mingled bright-blue shaft-stripe, running almost parallel to the feather edge, the shaft-stripe ends near the tip, the upper-part is separated by a golden vein; front of the neck bright-blue.

Shoulders, back, saddle,wings and thighs:  even yellow-brown ground color with a fine, regularly distributed blue peppering and a yellow-white shaft; each feather has a sharp, evenly widthwise, shiny gold flitter edge.

Primary-flights: blue with a narrow grayish-brown outer vane.

Secondary-flights: outer vane, similar to the shoulders; inner vane blue.

Tail: bright blue with yellow-brown groundcolor similar to the shoulders .

Breast: salmon-colored, some flitter permitted.

Primary-flights: blue with a narrow greyish-brown outer-vane.

Secondary-flights: outer-vane similar the shoulders; inner-vane bright brown-blue.

Tail: steering-feathers bright blue with yellow-brown ground-color similar to the shoulders.

Breast: salmon-colored, some flitter permitted.

Rear-part and down: brownish ash- grey.

Note

Due to the dilution factor the golden feather-parts slightly lighter than described.

Serious faults

Broad or broken neck-hackle pattern. Excessive rust on wings. Coarse peppering or too dark ground-color of the back and wing-flights. Too light flitter color. Insufficient flitter. Too dark or too light in the blue feather areas.
