Lavender silverquail
Color and pattern male
Head: lavender ground color, very narrowly edged with silvery-white.
Neck: the large feathers of the hackle are entirely lavender; the smaller feathers, higher up in the hackle towards the throat, are also lavender but with silvery-white veining and a very narrow silvery-white edge.
Shoulders and back: each feather has a lavender triangular center with silvery-white barbs; the back feathers also have a bright silvery-white veining; the back feathers, broad under the hackle, taper towards the back and lengthen towards the lower back.
Saddle: hackle lavender with silvery-white veining and broad silvery-white barbs.
Tail: steering-feathers; sickles and greater coverts lavender; lesser coverts lavender with silvery-white edging.
Wings: bow feathers lavender with a narrow silvery-white border; greater wing coverts silvery-white with a lavender, spangle-shaped pattern at the tip, forming two lavender wing bands.
Primary-flights lavender.
Secondary-flights: inner vane lavender; outer vane mostly silvery white, the tip of the feather is lavender; when the wing is closed, a wing-triangle is formed.
Breast and front of neck: silvery-white overall.
Belly: slightly darker than the breast.
Thighs: similar to the breast.
Rear-part: lavender.
Down: light lavender.
Serious faults
Too broad lacing and veining on the neck. Lavender pattern on the breast. Yellow tinge in the silvery-white feather areas. Absence of pattern on the secondary-flights.

Color and pattern female
Head: lavender, very narrowly edged with silvery-white.
Neck: hackle lavender with a narrow, silvery-white edge that increases slightly in width towards the throat; the lower edge of the hackle is almost entirely lavender.
Shoulders, back and saddle: lavender with a narrow silvery white edge and brilliant silvery-white veining; the edge narrows towards the saddle.
Tail: steering-feathers lavender; coverts and support-feathers lavender with silvery white veining and silvery white edge.
Wings: coverts similar to the back; the lacing widens towards the flight feathers.
Primary-flights: lavender.
Secondary-flights: inner vane lavender; outer vane lavender with a narrow, not sharply defined, silvery-white pattern at the edge of the feather, tip of the feather lavender.
Front of the neck, breast, belly, and thighs: silvery white; the feathers on the sides of the breast, towards the wings and flanks, are lavender with silvery-white edging and silvery-white veining.
Rear-part: light lavender.
Down: light lavender.
Serious faults
Too broad lacing and veining on the neck. Lavender pattern on the breast. Yellow tinge in the silvery-white feather areas. Absence of pattern on the secondary-flights. Too little, too narrow, or too broad silvery-white lateral lacing on the back, saddle, tail, and wing-coverts, or too broad silvery-white veining. Too much white in the feather field on the wings.
