Color and pattern male

Head: silvery white.

Neck-hackle: silvery white, each feather with a broad green-glossy, black shaft stripe, running parallel to the edge of the feather; the shaft stripe ends close to the end of the feather in a point.

Front of the neck: black each feather provided with a narrow, silvery-white lacing.

Back and shoulders: silvery white

Saddle: hackle entirely like the neck-hackle.

Tail and wings: entirely green-glossy black.

Breast: black, each feather with a narrow, silvery-white lacing; the lacing may not extend further down than to the upper part of the thighs.

Belly, thighs and fluff: black.

Down: grey-black.

Color and pattern of the female

Head: silvery-white.

Neck-hackle: silvery-white, each feather with a broad green-glossy black shaft stripe, running parallel to the feather edge and ending in a point close to the end of the feather.

Front of the neck: black, each feather provided with a narrow, silver-white lacing.

Back, saddle, tail and wings: green-glossy black.

Breast: black, each feather provided with a narrow, silver-white lacing; the lacing should not extend below the start of the breastbone.

Belly, thighs and fluff: black.

Down: grey-black.

Serious faults in male and female

Yellow tint in the silvery-white feather parts. Insufficient shaft stripe pattern in the male's neck- and saddle-hackle and in the female's neck-hackle.  Completely insufficient or too far downward lacing of the breast feathers.

Faults in male and female

Minor deviations in color and pattern. Little sheen in the black.
