Color and pattern male

Head: silvery white.

Neck- and saddle-hackle: silvery white, each feather with a broad, bright blue shaft stripe, running parallel to the feather edge; the shaft stripe ends in a point near the end of the feather; shaft bright blue.

Front of the neck: bright blue, each feather with a silvery-white edge, the vein of the feather is blue.

Back and shoulders: silvery white, somewhat interspersed with blue-gray, the blue-gray is at the base of the feather and is broadly edged.

Tail and wings: entirely bright blue.

Breast: bright blue, each feather with a silvery-white lacing; the vein is bright blue; the lacing may not extend further down than to the upper part of the thighs.

Belly, thighs, and rear-part: bright blue. 

Down: grayish-blue.

Head: silvery-white.

Neck-hackle: silvery-white, each feather with a broad, bright-blue shaft stripe, running parallel to the feather edge and ending in a point near the tip of the feather.

Front of the neck: bright blue, each feather with a narrow, silvery-white lacing.

Back, saddle, tail and wings: bright blue.

Breast: bright blue, each feather with a narrow, silvery-white lacing; the lacing should not extend below the start of the breastbone.

Belly, thighs, and rear-part: bright blue.

Down: grayish-blue.

Serious faults male and female

Yellow tint in the silvery-white feather parts. Insufficient shaft stripe pattern in the male's neck- and saddle-hackle and in the female's neck-hackle.  Completely insufficient or too far downward lacing of the breast feathers.

Faults male and female

Minor deviations in color and pattern. Too pale, too dark or uneven blue. Totally or partially black feathers.
